          and the barrel shape pushed against the cable end as the cables can be fitted to various types of release levers)****

PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE 2 MAIN TYPES - THE DIFFERENCE IS THE LENGTH OF THE CABLE AND THE LENGTH OF THE FREE MOVEMENT. LENGTH OF MOVEMENT IS KEY. 

CABLE HAS A FREE LENGTH OF 130MM WHEN NOT FITTED TO THE HANDLE IT'S OVERALL LENGTH IS 955MM WHICH MAY BE DIFFERENT TO YOUR OLD CABLE BUT THE ABOVE (130MM) IS THE IMPORTANT MEASUREMENT. IT HAS A 5MM CABLE BARREL END.
